Anyone who’s known me more than a day will know I love my ice cream. So being me, I preferred the idea of making my own ice cream rather than buying and got myself into gear to make some. Now that’s not to say that there haven’t been attempts in the past. I’ve tried several times to make my own ice cream but home made ice cream without a machine just did not cut it. It was always to hard and crystaly, not lovely, soft and creamy. So I was on the look out for an ice cream maker and that’s when I found ‘Snowy The Ice Cream Machine’. Now I’m fairly sure Snowy was designed with children in mind; he is baby blue with cartoons. But you know what? That doesn’t bother me because he makes me delicious tubs of ice cream. Like this Burnt Maple & Coconut Ice Cream.
This looks delicious! Who cares what the icecream maker looks like when it produces this kind of yummyness.
Yes, the ice cream maker really does deserve more credit
That looks and sounds awesome. Maple and coconut sounds like an incredible combo. It’s going to be really hot the next few days maybe I’ll give it a try
We’re going to need something cold, haha.
Hope you gave it go! I can’t believe it is almost winter in Australia now. Slowest responder ever!
ooohh this looks amazing! i’m definitely going to try this–maybe adding some graham crackers or something crunchy to the mix….mmmmmm!
Graham crackers you say??? http://justeatlove.com/2011/08/21/whisky-and-molasses-graham-crackers/
And it’s healthy! You know how to make my day…you really do!!!
Thanks for the kind words
oh my goodness, I love coconut ice cream and anything maple- this sounds delightful! But I don’t have an ice maker…. yet.
That’s fine. Just pop it in a container then into the freezer and whip it with a fork every hour or so.
I kinda want this “Snowy” ice cream maker. He sounds adorable. This ice cream sounds delicious. I have a vegan friend who is always on the look out for scrumptious recipes. I am going to have to send this her way.
Ahhh Snowy. Such a character!
Burnt maple and coconut! Get me a spoon!!
mmm maple! i heart anything with maple!
Me too
Lol what a cute ice cream machine maker name. I’ve been obsessed with coconut anything lately and your recipe sounds delicious! And it’s healthy!

The snowy icecream maker may look silly, but it does a great job! I know, because that’s what I use to make my frozen desserts. I just bought a planetary mixer by breville though and am looking to get their icecream bowl attachment, so it will be interesting to compare the two machines.
The beautiful image probably helps too!
I love that you make coconut milk/cream icecreams, everyone always looks at me funny when I tell them the bases of my icecream when I pass out samples – and this flavour combination sounds fantastic
I want one of these “samples” you speak of! :p
Do want – badly
Good to hear.

Hello,
I am doing an end of summer ice cream round up on my own blog, All Day I Dream About Food, and would love to include this recipe. I would use one of your images, and link back to you, but I wouldn’t be posting the recipe directly. If you would like to be a part of it, please email me at carketch29 (at) yahoo (dot) com.
Thanks,
Carolyn
Sorry Carolyn. Slow responder here. Maybe next summer? Haha.
